“Kim and her husband were such wonderful hosts. The cabin was more wonderful than the pictures convey. It was so clean the beds were very comfortable and there was sooo much seating in the living room. If we needed anything Kim and her husband attended to it right away. They blew up the water trampoline for us. We had easy access to their kayaks and life vests. The lake front was beautiful with plenty of chairs. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we will definitely stay again. ”

“Simple mountain cabin in remote location. Space in great for a couple or two singles. Property has plenty of elbow room with several other structures spread out across a giant clearing next to a lake. We hiked, swam, kayaked, fished and relaxed and enjoyed the views. We cooked dinner on the charcoal grill, and drank our morning coffee while listening to the birds. Hosts were attentive and chatted with us a few times. ”

“We were attending a wedding at nearby Oak Mountain and had to be at the chairlift by 3:00. Coming from out of state I was concerned we wouldn't have enough time to get ready after driving 4 hours. But when I contacted the owner, he was very helpful getting us in early so that we could make it to the wedding on time! The house was spotless and was the perfect overnight stay for my family. Thank you!”

“We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It was very close to the Lodge at Harrisburg Lake where our extended family had a reunion. The Cottage gave us a quiet space for our family to stay, while still being close to the action. The lake is quiet and lovely, and just a short walk down the road. The incline to the lake is steep, and too difficult for anyone with ambulatory issues. Not everyone at the reunion could enjoy the lake. That is just something to keep in mind here. The mini golf was lovely,……

We enjoyed campfires, listening to the loons, and star gazing every night. It was also great being able to bring your dogs, who am I say thoroughly enjoyed the water. ”

“Our family of 4 pup had a fantastic stay at Deb and Mark’s house - being directly on the lake is perfect for little kids, the location is very convenient to the town (walking distance to store, beach, coffee shop), the house has everything we needed for a longer stay, and our dog had plenty of room to run and swim. “Our stay was a great one! The location was perfect and the lake access, with private beach and kayaks, was a huge bonus for my kids. The cabin was a good size for our family of four. We wanted to be close to Camp of the Woods, but be on our own meal schedule, so we could not have had a better location. Being right next to the Speculator Inn was another bonus. Check-in and out was easy, communication was great with the owner. We're hoping to come back again!”
