“The home was a wonderful place to rest after a cold day of hiking. It was immaculate and cozy! The kitchen had everything you could need and more. We had a small issue with the check in but Anna responded immediately and even drove over to make sure that everything was okay. We would definitely stay here again!”

“We rented this house for a trip with three different families. With six adults and 4 kids, we had plenty of room and lots to keep everyone busy and happy. The house is well stocked with everything we could need and the owner was very communicative throughout our entire stay. The location was also great, right on the water but with lots of privacy. It would be really fun in the summertime. I highly recommend!”

The keypad codes did not work upon entry, so there was a bit of waiting time to contact the rental company and get that squared away and gain access to the house. It is spacious and lovely. We did have to go on a scavenger hunt to find the 2 bedrooms above the garage, as we did not know where they were located. The kitchen could use a bit of updating in the pots/pans area as well. “Overall the place is a nice quiet getaway in the woods. Be prepared for lots of DIY when it comes to the sauna and all other wood burning stove fires. An issue for concern, if you stay in the Shire Suite, the front room is solely heated by the wood burning stove and the ventilation is very limited. VERY smokey throughout our entire stay. Also there’s a tin roof so if it’s raining (it did our whole stay) the noise is REALLY loud making it almost impossible to sleep. Pray for no rain at night.……

“We went for our anniversary for a weekend getaway. We had an amazing time or rest and relaxation. When we entered the room we had a nice surprise with chocolates and wine. The company communicated with us every day to ensure we had every thing we needed. We had a beautiful view of the lake from our room. They have a wonderful seafood restaurant (Tims on the Lake) next door within walking distance from the hotel which was perfect. I highy recommend this hidden gem! ”
