“This place was amazing and a great place to celebrate our 42nd anniversary. We typically are not the type to “camp” so the dome gave us the feel of being outside with all the amenities.The location on the Greenbrier River was so peaceful and we loved the serenity of the overall, picturesque setting. “The property was covered in ants small and way over priced for what the house was. Not a very cozy place to stay even kinda creepy. The owner wouldn’t even respond back to having trouble with ants. Very dissatisfied. ”

“Everything was exactly as depicted on the house listing. What you don’t see is the peaceful setting of this gem. The stream that runs right by the house is a little surprise of added relaxation. The only note we had was the coffee maker situation. We are traditional brewed coffee drinkers but the Keurig w/available pods was a good alternative. We were in town for the home opener of the VT football season. Easy to get to and from on a busy weekend. We will be back. ”

“The place is totally awesome. My family of 10 came in for a wedding from Alabama & Pennsylvania . It had well enough bedding and very large open kitchen with living room concept for all of us to be together. The house her been recently renovated and has beautiful colors and very large bathrooms . My grandkids were able to play in the creek that was in the backyard . We are coming back for another family wedding in October and will definitely try to get the house again.”

“We absolutely adored our time here at The Retreat! The location was amazing (seriously, couldn’t be better!) and we loved everything about our stay! Personally, I loved being able to cook upstairs and watch the firepit from porch upstairs while the boys hung out next to it. Tammy was also was fantastic. Responded quickly to our questions. There are many state parks and towns within driving distance from the cabin. The owners have put together a great selection of information of the surrounding area. ”
