“Spotlessly clean hotel, attentive staff nothing is a problem. Room fine, A/C and ceiling fan , TV which you can access Prime and Netflix if you have an account. Wet room shower with plenty of hot water, some rooms have balconies, so check when booking.Complimentary breakfast was freshly prepared and excellent. Hotel located on the beach, beach is worked by the local fishermen upto about 11:00 most days, very little hassle from beach hawker’s. Four or five restaurants within easy walking, loads……

“The hotel is really lovely - we had a huge sea view room with balcony - toiletries & hairdryer provided and an enormous fridge. The hotel is immaculate and the garden & pool are beautiful. The staff are so welcoming and friendly but professional and the breakfast & meals are delicious.”

Swimming pool in need of renovation Room not cleaned in 4 days No toilet paper Generally dirty and grubby The fridge we requested on arrival was delivered a day later, but they turned it of every day We were booked in for 15 nights but left after 4. Even this was a saga, does not take credit cards. On a positive note, breakfast was good . For your health and sanity avoid this hotel…”

“It is a place full of character. Delightful staff (limited English with some did not take away from their kindness and personal care). The building is all traditional Kerala, lots of dark wood, and a very amusing lift playing Tamil music. My balcony faced the fires of coconut palms, with birds occasionally calling out, but the dominant sound was the breakers as the beach is 20 metres down the lane. The room was spacious and comfortable: a bit old fashioned so this is not a modern smart……

“We had a great two weeks in the hotel with the staff being very flexible in accommodating us. The hotel is metres away from the beach, we had a sea view room with air conditioning which was very pleasant. However, the photos of the hotel on Expedia we saw are at least 20 years old and the hotel is no way a 4* hotel by western standards. There is no restaurant as part of the hotel any more, although there is a breakfast room which seems to get food from a neighbouring hotel. We were given……

“Hotel located a little bit outside Kovvalam Beach but reachable in 10 minutes by tuk tuk, located on a very romantic beach. The place is really relaxing and quiet, the staff extremely kind. Elena”

“This property sits back from the beach about 100m, making it quiet and peaceful, with many birds singing in the morning. The bed was cozy and the bathroom was clean. This is a great stay for a budget hotel. Kovalum Beach is really scenic as well.”
