“We came to visit Gettysburg and Amish Country and were excited to learn that while we had spent much time learning about the Civil War, Lee had actually come to visit the very house we stayed at and is detailed in a book located at the property called “A River to Cross”. “This property is amazing! It is incredibly beautiful. The pictures make it look a little old-fashioned and dark but when you go there that is not the case. It is beautifully historic. The grounds are amazing. The summer kitchen just makes you yarn for colonial times. It was an amazing house and property to stay on for my daughter‘s graduation from Dickinson College. ”
