“The check in was awesome! The clerk let us check in 3 hrs early ! Awesome.. it all went downhill from there The parking behind the guesthouse is very small and no room to park more than 3 vehicles I was in a Mini Cooper and had issues The room promised at jet tub and wood burning fireplace. Not wood burning I asked the girl who was still there cleaning other rooms and found out no Wood only gas . Ok carry on .. go out for the evening come back to have jet tub .. the water was brown and……

“Comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Karey and Howie (as well as Walley & Tigger) are amazing hosts and our breakfast was delicious. We definitely recommend the Coles Bay Vacation Retreat.”

“Very conveniently located. Very clean. Easy communication with host. Easy entry. Fridge stocked with some essentials was a nice touch as was labeled cabinets and drawers in the kitchen and bathroom. It felt very homey and welcoming. Will definitely book again”

“We have traveled from New Zealand to Europe, Costa Rica, Canada and Mexico. This truly is one of the most lovely properties we have stayed. Peaceful and serene with the most gracious hosts you would want to meet. So many private corners to sit and read your book and the pool is so inviting we were sorry we hadnt packed our suits! Be prepared to drive a bit out of town, but Sephanie's recommendations for dining were spot on! Perhaps the next trip we will be abke to atay more than three……

“Recycling and garbage as you walk to the entrance and you walk by looking into the owners kitchen. The main area is also used as a staff room? There is a sign on the fridge that says staff use only and clearly has staff’s food in it. You only actually get a bedroom with a lock on it and a bathroom with cleaning supplies mops etc on the wall. I absolutely did not feel safe especially when I came back and someone had been in the suite. This is not as advertised at all. ”

“Words cannot describe the incredible experience my girlfriend and I had; along with the exceptional hospitality which was provided by the hosts! Highly recommended, property is clean and private. Hosts are quick to reply and available if needed. The breakfast is absolutely delicious! The hosts are incredibly down to earth, and I am so thankful and appreciative that I came across this listing! Highly recommended and both my gf and I will certainly be back and will be making this a regular……

“This was a beautiful property. Check-in was easy. The unit was clean with good amenities. Beautiful lake front view and access to the dock. Comfortable beds. very polite and helpful communication but would like communication to be consistently quicker (sometimes it took a full day for a request to change check in or check out or ask for items). ”
