“I was in Hilo for a month for work and stayed at Maggie's place. It was perfect for me in all ways - fantastic location, nice complex, very clean, lovely lanai, close to a beautiful park for walks/jogs. Various places to eat or get groceries that are within a 10 min walk or a couple of mins drive. Maggie was an exceptional host, very quick to respond and very kind to me on my arrival after a 25h trip. I absolutely loved my stay and if I am lucky enough to return to Hilo for work then I would……

“While only here one night in our slow treck around the island, we easily could have stayed longer! Great neighborhood, comfy bed, everything we needed!”

“Centrally located to great eating places. The studio was extremely clean. Directions to find it were challenging. Ducks were in the community pool and pool did not appear to be clean.”

“Love this beautiful spacious studio! The lanai is my absolute favorite part to sit outside and feel like you’re in the rainforest, listening to the coqui frogs. Jeff and Cathy have thought of everything inside the bungalow, even some aloe. The little beach across the street is so beautiful! My husband and I really enjoyed our time in Hilo! “The apartment was more than we could have wished for, incredibly spacious, inviting, well equipped with everything, and hosted by a lovely Ingrid and her family. Centrally located near all roads to explore the island or a short trip to the best snorkeling spots. We ended up having to recouperate from an unexpected medical issue and it was the most comfortable environment for healing. We highly recommend this gem and we will be back. ”

“We enjoyed our stay, especially the location a few minutes from Hilo and directly on the beach park. Loved the geckos, frogs and sounds of rain in the night. The same things we loved will not for be enjoyable for everyone... No air conditioning means you must leave windows open and the sound of frogs at night is loud. During the day, especially on weekends, the beach park can be very busy and the sounds and smells (like charcoal BBQ smoke) may be an annoyance until the park closes. The mornings……

“The unit was as depicted in photos. Clean and well equipped. It is very centrally located within Hilo and has easy access to all surrounding areas. The manager was extremely easy to communicate with and very responsive. I had a small problem while there and it was addressed and fixed within 24 hours. Very good experience. ”

“Ingrid was a very welcoming hostess! The studio is beautiful with lots of surrounding windows to enjoy nature from all angles. Birds chirping and the rain drops are so tranquil. It's close to town yet far enough to enjoy time to yourself. It has everything you need from kitchen supplies to beach essentials. It was nice to have Ingrid so close by as I had questions about how to tour Hilo. You'll love it here!!! ”
