“Great little farmhouse but the storm that rolled in was scary ”

“We came to visit Gettysburg and Amish Country and were excited to learn that while we had spent much time learning about the Civil War, Lee had actually come to visit the very house we stayed at and is detailed in a book located at the property called “A River to Cross”. Before we left we took a picture with our pup on “Lee’s rock” where he rested while the horses drank from a spring nearby and his troops had tea and recharged at the property. “Our family stayed here for our son’s wedding at a nearby farm venue. Home was spotless, kitchen well stocked for cooking (although we didn’t do any), and the house is very conveniently located in Shepherdstown. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants in minutes. Easy drive to the wedding venue. As noted in the property description, there are a lot of stairs inside and out, so not the best choice if someone has mobility issues. Also, the sunny bedroom with all the windows is really lovely,……
