“The setting is peaceful and beautiful. The property has a rich history. The house has a lot of quirky character and exploring it is a trip within itself. We have stayed in several places in WV but this one is currently our favorite.”

“This cabin is for relaxation! Surrounded by trees, with a screened in porch and a hot tub. Literal birds eye view window seat upstairs. We enjoyed ourselves very much.”

“Remote location with a fantastic view. Many wildlife to observe. The only thing that did not meet expectation is the noise from the main road across the valley. The cabin is still secluded and hard to see from the road when driving. The house and kitchen are stocked with a lot of things. Recommend for a getaway to enjoy God's creation.”

“Quick getaway for family. Cabin was excellent, beds very comfortable, wood floors, 2 br, 2 bath perfect for our group. Nice jacouzi in master br upstairs. Ramp to front door, perfect for our elderly dog. Only thing the kids didn’t like was no internet at the cabin - would have to go to the spa to have internet. Sliding glass door to balcony with chairs was a plus.”

“We had previously stayed at the other cabin and we loved both visits. Janie and Cy have thought of everything so you can just relax. There was even a mechanical issue, and they were on it immediately. We recommend this property to anyone and we will be back. ”

And more importantly, everything was clearly labeled and laid out for us: WiFi and TV instructions were clear, all cabinets were labeled for ease of access, and all amenities were placed within line of site.The furniture and beds were all of consistently high quality, and the property was very clean without cleaning sterile.We can't wait to book at this location again soon! ”

“Very comfortable, cozy cabin with lots of amenities for all ages was perfect for our family reunion. Beautiful wooded setting, with a historic town with mineral springs nearby. Enjoyed our time there, and would highly recommend!”

“We had an amazing time! We were able to fully utilize the kitchen and grill to prepare meals throughout the whole weekend as the appliances worked and there was enough cooking ware for our needs. The bathrooms were clean and the hot tub was nice! The table games in the basement were fun to use too!Some of the doors were hard to fully close and/or lock. The lock box at the front door was finicky too. There was a broken step down to the river that should be fixed as it's currently a hazard”

“Comfortable and right at the C&O trail, so easy to take lovely walks. The house is clean, the kitchen and dining spaces more than adequate, multiple common areas are nice, as are bedrooms. Minor issue in that it seems the visitors before us made the remote for the downstairs tv disappear. Connection via phone, text etc can be spotty unless you're on the houses wifi, which worked well.”
