“Great place to stay. Our whole family was able to be together and spend quality time with one another. It was comfortable and welcoming! It was so helpful to have a stocked kitchen, large table (big enough for everyone to eat around), and a washer and dryer. The game room was an added bonus! The trail around the house was really the only place to explore near the house. The roads are narrow, so walking or biking were not safe. However, the town was 10-15 minutes away and allowed for many……

“We had an amazing time! We were able to fully utilize the kitchen and grill to prepare meals throughout the whole weekend as the appliances worked and there was enough cooking ware for our needs. The bathrooms were clean and the hot tub was nice! The table games in the basement were fun to use too!Some of the doors were hard to fully close and/or lock. The lock box at the front door was finicky too. There was a broken step down to the river that should be fixed as it's currently a hazard”

“We truly enjoyed our week-long stay at the Lodge, nestled peacefully in the woods. The setting was calm, relaxing, and the house itself was clean and well-kept. Our favorite spot was the downstairs lounge, where we spent most of our time enjoying the games, television, and pool table. The lounge also opens out to the patio, perfect for evening bonfires under the stars. Loved it! Would definitely recommend and would love to come back again in the near future!”

“Comfortable and right at the C&O trail, so easy to take lovely walks. The house is clean, the kitchen and dining spaces more than adequate, multiple common areas are nice, as are bedrooms. Minor issue in that it seems the visitors before us made the remote for the downstairs tv disappear. Connection via phone, text etc can be spotty unless you're on the houses wifi, which worked well.”

“This place was perfect. The heart on the hill really does have my heart! Very clean, super communicative host and just an amazing property. There was one downside with the bees that were entering the house from some unknown place but I'm sure they will address that. Otherwise, absolutely recommend! ”
