“We’re seasoned travelers and VRBO customers! Nice apartment in fair-sketchy DC area. Booked 4 nights for Thanksgiving, night #2, awakened at 3:45am with a family standing in apartment! A duplicate reservation with code to building and apartment issued! Called VRBO and owner (Mary Stays-Siem) agrees to $350 refund (two nights) with VRBO recording call. However, one month later we’re still waiting for refund from Mary Stays and/or VRBO! Buyer Beware!”

“If you are going to be visiting, Washington DC, the subway is about a 3 to 4 minute walk away. It is also a five minute walk away from the edge of the Catholic university and some of its restaurants. For four adult people, furniture could have been a little more comfortable in the living room area. But we spent very little time at the unit, so we made it work. It was not listed that a blow dryer was there, and I made the mistake of not packing one. We had questions regarding the checking in……

“We loved the convenient location to my daughter’s college. The rental was super clean & cute. There was an issue with the noise from upstairs renters, but when contacted the owner it was addressed. The beds were not comfortable but everything was clean and included what we needed for our stay. The parking was a little tricky, there was 2 off street parking spots on a first come basis, but the two cars that were parked in them never left the entire 5days we were there.
