“Bay Tree is in a quiet location and easy walking distance to Dorchester town. Gary, our host, was excellent, very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was relaxed in a lovely room aroind a table of about 8 settings, perfect to have a morning chat with fellow guests. Nice to chat and get to know new people from different places. The rooms are tastefully furnished and well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities. Good shower ensuite. Very comfy bed, excellent night's sleep. Quiet house.”
“Love, love, love this inn. Amazing property in a beautiful village. Lots of great, easy walking spots. There is a bus from Dorchester station that takes you to a stop right next to the inn. YES!!

“This is an extra-ordinarily well-refurbished 18th century house just off the High Street in Dorchester. It is a stone's throw from Dorchester's best restaurant (Al Molo) and right near a lovely park with tennis courts. We absolutely loved the space: a well-designed, expanded kitchen opens out via nice french doors to a comfortable and private patio. Two en-suite bedrooms with very comfortable beds makes it a great place for as many as four people to sleep comfortably. The owners are also……
“We were warmly welcomed and given the keys early, and able to drop our bags off, so we could come back when the room was ready and let ourselves in.
The room was small but had two chairs by the window which was lovely for looking out at the beach whilst enjoying a cup of tea in the morning. The fridge was great for keeping drinks cool and being able to use fresh milk was a bonus. Breakfast was very good and the cooked breakfast ingredients were of a high quality. ”
