All areas were spotlessly clean. This YHA is the best, in my humble opinion, and the ambiance is surreal. A credit to Cumbria, exemplifies the fact that Cumbria is putting the Great back into Britain ✌️☮️🐇💋🌈”

“Ambleside Townhouse is so conveniently located to shops, restaurants, and hiking trails. The folks are accommodating and friendly; they really went the distance in making our stay comfortable and convenient. My only suggestion would be mini-split a/c units in the rooms - despite the comfortable temperatures, the humidity was uncomfortable at times. ”

“Hotel as described. 10 minutes walk into Grasmere. Free parking, although I doubt enough if hotel at capacity. Bus stop outside. Breakfast was nice & plenty of options. We had dinner one evening and it was good & good value. Dog friendly, in fact Luna felt bery welcome! We decline one days room clean in exchange for a couple of free drinks, that was a nice idea and encoraged reuse of towels etc All in all great stay”

“It is a great hostel, clean, comfortable, I stay for 2 nights. It is a great experience. The hostel next to the lake. The view is wonderful. Staff are nice. They tell me the footpath from Ambleside to grasmere. Only one thing is that it is not free for luggage storage. ”
