“This property is just amazing as is the management. So many fun things to do that It’s hard to know where to start. My family had a terrific time and has talked about when we might be able to come out next. I highly recommend!”

“Wow, this place was more than I expected. It looked good from the ad but the attention to detail and decor was a home run. Everything we needed was there, beds were super comfortable and the whole place was immaculate. Huge gated back yard area and tons of extras. Will stay again for MS 150 (2026)”

“We brough 5 kids and 2 dogs to the Hickory House and had a fabulous time! The home is perfect, exactly what you need for a stay. We were sampling as many BBQ places as we could. Great walking distance to downtown Lockhart. Short drive to places that are too far to walk in the summer. Owners were fabulous. Very easy check in and check out. No onerous requirements for checking out. We will look forward to doing it again. ”

“This is a great place to stay for large groups! Everyone loved the game room and river access. I will say I booked 5 bedrooms but was only allowed access to 4. For the money I was paying I was expecting to gain access to all of the bedrooms listed. Other than that the stay was great. ”

“The house was clean, the pool refreshing on hot Texas days and my husband was very excite that there was a catch and release pond with a very nice pier so he could fish. Even though he didn’t catch anything, it was a good way to unwind. A friendly duck and turtles kept him company. I really loved that there was a fenced in courtyard for my dog. Lovely home and the owners were extremely kind and accommodating. ”
