“We brough 5 kids and 2 dogs to the Hickory House and had a fabulous time! The home is perfect, exactly what you need for a stay. We were sampling as many BBQ places as we could. Great walking distance to downtown Lockhart. Short drive to places that are too far to walk in the summer. Owners were fabulous. Very easy check in and check out. No onerous requirements for checking out. We will look forward to doing it again. ”

“This property is BEAUTIFUL. The drive up to the home, the big trees, the decor, everything is so beautiful. It’s a cozy cabin that took me neck to visiting my great grandma as a kid. I’m already planning to return this winter. ”

We brought an extra comforter because someone said the bed was uncomfortable and we slept just fine. Will definitely rent again next time we go to the river!”

“Property was very nice and as described. Amenities were abundant and the pool w/waterfall was a hit! Outdoor movie screen was well enjoyed. Golf cart provided entertainment for teenager and was a great perk to have. Hot tub was loved by all! Indoors was supercozy and beds are soooo comfortable! Bathtub was well loved to wind down fron the day. Hosts were very helpful and friendly explaining how to utilize/function the amenities. We are talking about making this a yearly visit, we all……

“The house was clean, the pool refreshing on hot Texas days and my husband was very excite that there was a catch and release pond with a very nice pier so he could fish. Even though he didn’t catch anything, it was a good way to unwind. A friendly duck and turtles kept him company. I really loved that there was a fenced in courtyard for my dog. Lovely home and the owners were extremely kind and accommodating. ”

“The location is so peaceful. The pool was GREAT! There is so much room in this house. We found a couple of issues, but maintenance came out right away. I will say bunks are short so better for a child or short adult. It usually takes a while to get everything together to check out. I think because there were 5 bathrooms we could all stay on task. We were ready to check out 30 minutes ahead of schedule.”
