“We stayed at the Barta house for a weekend in May. House was very cleaned, the kitchen was well stocked, the beds were very comfortable. The location was good and the neighborhood was quiet. We will stay here again. ”

“Almost everything about this property was great. The house is clean and well equipped in a historic area. The a/c and heat worked well. The location is very walkable to nearby downtown Smithville. Two issues: the stairs to the bedrooms upstairs are a bit of a challenge. They're narrow and spaced closely. Just be careful! The double bed in one of the bedrooms upstairs needs replacement. It is terribly squeaky. The couple that slept on it did not have a good night's sleep. ”

“We stayed here while attending a car show in Austin. Had a great time. Used the clay thrower and shot some clays. Relaxing and a nice time. ”

“We were visiting family in Central Texas and this was so much better than staying in a hotel in between Austin and SA. The toll road made it super easy, the town of Lockhart had all we needed and heck, it’s the BBQ Capital of TX. Had wonderful smoked chicken.I didn’t have the WiFi password, but really didn’t need it. The house had everything we needed and having a real coffee pot was perfect for us. We liked that there were two showers, but only needed the one, and there’s a washer and dryer……

The family really enjoyed being outdoors in the pool, grilling and also catching fish as well as watching the deer and other critters. The house is well kept and stocked with all that's needed for an enjoyable stay!”
