“Cute little house. Perfect dock for our boat. Nice and quiet! We had a great time. You need to be prepared though if the power goes out. House runs on solar power. We had it happen twice during our weekend stay. Not much full sunlight for a few days before.”

“What a darling cottage. Everything was so perfect. It was so clean and comfortable. Lindy thought of everything. We are fresh eggs and enjoyed the chickens daily. There is nothing but positive things to say about this warm and welcoming host. We hope to stay again next time we are in town. Thank you for making this week so wonderful for us! ”

“This a great place at a great price. This great place for time at the lake. Water just across the grassy area which has a fire pit for night. The. huge porch was great to relax on after a long day on the lake. Mike the host and owner was amazing and made sure we were well taken care of. Place has great wifi which was a super plus because the lake in general lacks cell towers. There are several markets with in 5 mins and town is only 15 mins making a run for dinner at the buggs island……

“We liked how nice the dock was and really enjoyed the easy access to the water, the house was well stocked for a few days, had floaties and rafts already there for convenience, the house was nice and had good privacy.”

“It's a cool idea to have a small house with a fenced in yard for the dog, but there were other dogs on either side of the fences surrounding us and barking at our dog, There was also about a dozen old chewed on dirty real bones with the tendons, and muscles covered in bugs and dirt scattered around the yard that i had to clean up before I could let my dog in the yard so she wouldn't get sick eating them. The coffee maker did not work, and the heat did not work at first and the 3 hooks for……

“The hosts were very easy to work with, and the house was in great condition. Very nicely decorated, modern, had all the necessities. The neighborhood--the street and nearby commercial district--are definitely in transition and not ideal for walking. We felt uncomfortable taking our dogs out, even as people who have lived in NYC/Chicago during the 80s :-). While it might feel different to people who are from the area or live on the street, it's a hard place to land for visitors.”

“The house decor is an eclectic mix of vintage meets modern and rustic. Great spacious living room/kitchen open floorplan with a separate dining room which worked great for our group of 10! The kitchen had everything we needed! Beds were comfortable with 4 on the main floor and the 5th downstairs. Note - There is no bathroom downstairs! The large deck was great for morning coffee and the firepit was our nighttime ‘hot spot’! It was great to have a dock to secure the boat instead of……

“We had a great stay at this house with 7 adults and 3 kids between the ages of 2-6. The house was very clean, has a great fire pit on the back porch, and was very convenient to get to stores and downtown Raleigh. The host was super responsive and answered all my questions quickly. Would definitely recommend the house to any families looking for a great house to spend time together.”
