“The property was peaceful. Lots of birds flittering about. If you like to fish, especially for bass this is a great place. Every 2 hour trip I took out I caught 10-15 bass. All 3.5+ pounds. The largest was over 5 and I had multiple that size. The location of the fire pit right by the lake was a perfect end to the days. Will definitely be booking again. There are some minor spruce up repairs to be made but communication with the host indicated they plan to do those this year. ”

“The place wonderful for our 10 people that stayed there. Very clean and comfortable. We had plenty of room inside and outside by the fire ring. The public boat launch is right next door to the canal. We plan on going back to stay there again next year.”

“Grandparents, Adult Kids, and Grandkids had a wonderful time. The house is perfect for multi generations as the downstairs has its own family room/game room. The decks were so inviting and comfortable. The sandy beach was perfect for the littles and all the water toys made our stay!!! We went for beautiful nature walks each day, swam in the lake and paddled the SUP’s. We also enjoyed going to Carlos Creek Winery for a wine tasting and pizza dinner. Super fun and family friendly. “We loved this little house on the lake while we were in the Detroits Lakes area hiking in 3 of the MN State Parks. The size and location of the house was perfect for us, and the furnishings were warm and inviting. From chilled bottled water in the refrigerator, to a sweet hadwritten note from the owners with the gift of a grilling mat, we felt like we were cared for as "family". Being able to walk out the backdoor down to the dock in the early morning with a cup of coffee and watch sunrise……

“If you are looking for a rustic outdoor experience with no hassle or headaches, this is the place! Steven was great to work with. He was prompt at answering questions and resolved any issues quickly. The lake is beautiful and having access to the pontoon for fishing and recreation was great. There is no beach, but we knew that from the description and a small public beach was a short 13 minute drive away. The nearbybtown of Battle Lake was charming and had great restaurants. My husband is not……
