“We had 8 adults, 1 baby and 2 dogs for a family celebration of our youngest graduating from Fort Lewis College. The place is lovely, clean, and so cozy! We appreciate the fully stocked kitchen including bananas, muffins, oatmeal and a full coffee bar awaiting us when we arrived for our first morning. Loved the hot tub, the privacy and the gorgeous views all around. The game room was a fun family gathering place too. Highly recommend this place! ”

“This cabin is the perfect place if you need to get out of town and relax for a while. The property was clean and very comfortable, the host was so sweet and attentive. I had a wonderful time here and I am already recommending it to others thinking of vacationing in the Durango area. Huge thank you to the lovely hosts!!”

“Second time. Amazing as usual!”

“Was everything we expected and more. Great location and the river was absolutely amazing. Such a perfect get away to enjoy the mountains and nature. Proposed to my now fiancé along side the river there and it was magical! Couldn’t recommend this place more. ”

“Nice Stay. Enjoyed driving the last 100 yards up the narrow wooded road to the cabin, chopping firewood, getting warm by the wood stove, walking in the snow. Interior decorating was amazing - it was a cabin for cabin connoisseurs. Only issues - no clear house numbers or identification. I happen to know that area and that small road and had GPS signal, and I still drove by it. Please put up clear direction at the top of the driveway - assume it is dark and snowing when one is trying to find……

“We loved the location of the property. Far enough away that we felt that we had space but not too far of a drive from all of the happenings in town. The house was clean and well cared for. The stairs inside are quite narrow and could be hard for people to manage but otherwise, everything was great. We would come back and”

“A little gem very close to Purgatory Mtn. Perfect for our college reunion. True log cabin felt like home. New hot tub was a plus after long days of skiing. Only knock, the coffee pot could use upgrading (add a Keurig) and some new pots and pans would be helpful. Would definitely return.”

“Excellent views of the lake! Very homey and welcoming. Hope to stay here again in the future. Even though there are other cabins nearby still get the feeling of solitude. ”

“Accurate information about the property, comfortable accommodations, great location. Great for traveling with dogs. No issues with the cabin and provisions. Property management outstanding with helping us out, going above and beyond when needed. No window shades or covers but secluded enough to not be a big concern. “We loved this property and the cabin itself. The only thing was the listing showed photos of a room with 2 bunk beds but there were only 3 double beds available, so one kiddo slept on the couch. He enjoyed sleeping by the fire though,so it all worked out. ”

“A small house quite comfortable for 2 people. Very nicely furnished, kitchen is adequate (no stove but a two burner hotplate), coffee maker, dish towels. Washer & dryer. Laundry soap and dish soap provided. Bathroom is also adequate for one person at a time. My only concern is that the house was very dusty. Would definitely rent it again as it is only 10 minutes to Bayfield where we have family.”
