“What a cute cabin, with great character and room for everyone. Perfect walk to the lake and the hosts were super communicative. Recommend for sure!”

“It rained most of the time we stayed at the lake, lucky for us the cabin was cute, comfortable and cozy! We never found the shared fire pit, but again the rain kept us indoors in the evenings.Our small dog was welcome, and so we felt right at home. Host left a water bowl, treats, dog towel, and extra waste bags. A really nice touch! A “Shanty Chic” pairing at the shoreline as the canoe has rowing oars instead of paddles. Overall 10/10 would stay again. Thanks! ”

“Nice place to kick back and relax. It was very neat and clean. I enjoyed my coffee in the mornings on the porch and my glass of wine in the evening. ”

“All the high tech gizmos you could want! Maybe too many cameras? Felt like you were being watched the whole time . Not the best location for pets as you are right next to a busy road with no fences ,but we made it work. Really cool listening to the ice on the lake reverberate up and down the whole lake at night! ”

“The moment we walked into the cabin, we felt we had gone back 150 years! This is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature. It is rustic with all the modern conveniences. The wildlife is amazing! Unfortunately, our dog was not as impressed as we were and she tended to scare off all the critters! Overall, a lovely experience!”

“This was a perfect place very close to purgatory ski resort! The cabin was very clean and equipped with everything we needed and were looking for on a ski/ snowboarding weekend. ”

“We really enjoyed this property. The home was spacious allowing plenty of room for all ten of us. The game room was a great gathering space. Dining area was large enough for all of us to eat and play games together. Easy drive in to both Bayfield and Durango. And very close to Vallecito Lake. Would definitely recommend this property. ”

“Me and my husband loved this cabin! We came to Durango for our honeymoon and this was the perfect place for us. It was cozy and rustic but also had very modern amenities like the tv, kitchen appliances, and bathroom. I will say the pictures are a little misleading for rhe location because it makes it look remote but there are other cabins nearby. This isn't a huge downside, though. The location is about 20-25 minutes to Durango which I didnt mind driving because the roads are great and the……

“This is one of the best vacation rentals we’ve had - lovely, quiet setting yet close enough to town, very clean and neat, very functional for our needs. Only one minor issue for us was dialing in the radiant heat system zones at night but we were ultimately able to get things comfortable. Even with this minor issue, it was a great stay. ”

“My family and I had an amazing time. We loved the location it was far enough that my little ones could sing and happily shout as loud as they wanted and not disturb any neighbors. God's beauty is all around this cabin. We can't wait to come again.”

“The cabin was perfect. Everything you could need. Comfortable beds and a nice shower. Beautiful fenced yard with a grass yard behind the cabin over looking the lake. Awesome fishing from the back of the cabin. Next visit we will be staying longer.”
