“A wonderful place with a stunning view of the sea, right on the beach from the apartment on the fourth floor. The apartment offers modern comfort and is very spacious. “Very cute cottage and neighborhood. I was a little skeptical about staying in a MIL-suite type cottage across the way from the hosts, but it was super easy and didn’t feel intrusive in any way. We were on the last leg of our road trip with our little ones (3 and 6 years old), so we used this time to just have some chill time which worked out well because we knew the weather wasn’t going to be stellar. “4.5 stars. Very nice little bungalow, perfect for a couple. Located near everything, very clean and inviting, and complementary bottle of wine was a nice touch. There was a little confusion on which building we were in as there are two on the property (this is the Artist Haven) and the range top did not work, but that could have been user error. Both minor issues and would rent again.”

“I can’t say enough about this property. It was excellent in every aspect. Amy gets an A for this one. She communicates very well with her guests and is extremely responsive to any issue that may arise (coffee maker quit working one morning and she had a replacement to us before noon).I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for quiet, peaceful and restful stay in Mentone. The screened porch was wonderful. Thanks again Amy and I hope to be back soon. ”

“The house is utterly charming. My kids (11 and almost 14) were so excited to find all the scavenger hunt items and see all the little hidden gems throughout. We did our sightseeing during the day and watched the provided DVDs and played board games in the evenings. There is a cute little gift shop with special trinkets on the property so bring cash in smallish bills to enjoy! “We had a wonderful stay at The Garden Cottage. It certainly lives up to its name! We loved walking the property and seeing the beautiful plants and a little wildlife. The location is excellent because it is close to town, Brow Park (gorgeous sunsets!!), and DeSoto Park. The cottage itself is adorable and the perfect size.
