“Exactly what we were looking for! The Shire was perfect spot for our quick family get away. Close to everything but entertainment right on site. Kayaking the river - finding the old dam/waterfall, saw wildlife (deer, geese), fishing, ending the day in the hot tub then dinner around the fire. Holly was great help with ideas for entertaining a 14 yr old and things to do. Highly recommend!”

“We had plans to cross a bucket list item off the list on a 50th birthday celebratory weekend.Unfortunately Mother Nature had a torrential rain planned for our Rock City Gardens plan. This rain gave us an opportunity to spend quality time in the cottage. We grabbed a Breakfast Burrito and settled down in the cottage to binge a few episodes of Downton Abbey while waiting for the rain to subside. This cottage is amazing.
