“Came up for a few days for some recreational activities at Lake Moomaw. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It felt like home with all the amenities. The nearby creek and the fenced in back yard was a plus. The king size bed was absolutely WONDERFUL. The best nights of sleep I've had in years lol. The host was amazing! “this place was out in the middle of nowhere but was amazing. It was so quiet you could hear your ears ringing. the sky was clear and beautiful we saw shooting stars, the milky way and just beautiful night sky. if your in to books this is a place to explore. the owner had to have thousands of books and they were all well organized. some of the books were published in the early 1900’s. the host was very friendly and I am assuming that he put a lot of love into building this home. “We had family from all over the country come and meet here for a week. This place was stunning, absolutely beautiful and relaxing. It had plenty of space to accommodate us all! Very clean and comfortable. One thing I would recommend is having back up linen such as top and bottom sheets, pillow cases and blankets. Maybe a larger trash bin for bigger/longer stays. Other than that- no complaints! I will definitely love to visit again!! ”

“Nice home. We bought groceries at the local store and fixed some meals at the house. Made our way to multiple activities. Everything was within a couple of hours at the most. Went to New River Gorge ATVs, Rail Explorers and the Cass Scenic Railroad while here. (Make sure to print out directions before taking off, as WiFi not always available when out and about!). Fun time. WV is a great adventure.”
