“This cabin was located at a lower elevation than other cabins we viewed. Perfect for a couples get away. Appliances were large and functioned well. Used the crock pot and ate at the cabin. Never ate out! We enjoyed visiting this part of Colorado which made this cabin a great location. The history of the cabin is awesome decor and the framed reminders of what NOT to do at the cabin was very tasteful. We used the Fire-pit every night and enjoyed the wilderness location. Only 1.3 miles of unpaved……

“Gorgeous views, lovely and spacious home, near fun little mountain town of Salida. We enjoyed skiing at Monarch and ringing in the new year in downtown Salida. Host was friendly, easily reachable, and gave lots of thorough instructions and ideas for things to do. ”

“A well maintained cabin with beautiful views if you’re looking to getaway from city life. Lee was a great host, gave good suggestions regarding things to do, and the directions he provided were very helpful. Only suggestions are: fly into Colorado Springs if possible (closer), stop at Safeway instead of general store for groceries - further but cheaper/better selection just buy ice to keep groceries cold for the remainder of the drive, we enjoyed coyotes den for coffee and great food, visit……

“Overall, the location is perfect, the property is well kept and was perfect for our family of 5. I would definitely stay again, noticed some dirty dishes, and the throw blankets weren’t clean, but other than that, everything was great & those are easy fixes. We LOVE the property. ”

It was fun to roam around the grounds and see how close it was to the national forest. It was a perfect drive to Mt. Princeton too. It was definitely a 5/5 stay. ”
