“Only critique we have really is the drive needed more rock and the roof looks close to needing replaced. Beyond that it was an amazing stay, we loved it. It was just as pictured and very clean. Beautiful surroundings. ”

“We came here for a three day weekend, little family getaway. There were 12 of us, five adults and seven children, ranging from age 4 to 16. We all had a great time! The swanky bar and the garage game room were the hotspots. There were plenty of fun activities for everyone to do! We all loved all of the retro amenities, from the popcorn maker, record player to the jukebox and everything in between We had a few issues with the hot tub, but the hosts were readily available to help with it. “I grew up about a mile away from the property and the trip was booked last minute to attend my grandmother’s funeral. Given the somber nature of the trip, all the features of the property (the swing set, the game room, the spaciousness of kitchen/family room/ and bedrooms) really gave us an escape. It gave the kids a fun place to play. It gave the adults a place to decompress. It was truly an excellent property.”

“The Blue Bird House was perfect for our brief stopover near Indiana Dunes to visit with friends. Communication was excellent! Check in and check out was easy-peasy! Kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. Fenced yard was great for giving our dog a little room to stretch. Bunkbeds were perfect for our teens. I wish we could have stayed longer, but I would definitely stay here again when we're back in the area.”

“There was great communication with the owner. Our 7 and 8 year old had a blast in the community with a splash pad, pools, playground, arcade, concert (free) the first night we got there. There is a train that you had to get used to but we adapted. It was our girls first time fishing and they stock the pond every 3 years and we saw lots of people catching fish. The outdoor fire place was stocked with wood. ”
