“What a beautiful/romantic little cabin. It was a much needed get away for me to shut off my brain and relax. It is very off grid. The only surprise I had was that the property is pretty closely shared with another cabin and only divided by a small fence. The listing made it seem like it was more remote. But overall, the stay was wonderful and had everything I needed. I will definitely recommend to anyone. ”

“Having been the owner of a resort in the Ely area, west of the Grand Marais area, and having rebuilt an old, tired property, into a AAA Multiple Diamond facility, I am aware of the challenges that exist with older properties. The upgrades to the cabin I stayed in were obviously well thought through, there are lots of nice touches throughout. ”

“The cabin had everything we needed for our stay with plenty of options. The gas stove provided plenty of heat for the entire cabin. The host provided us with helpful information in a Welcome Packet document. The Cabin and it's location provided us an escape from city living. We would easily stay here again.”

“It’s a beautiful property well planned. No running water and an outhouse. Solar electricity, which works fine if you don’t overuse it. We love the experience. It was challenging I’m 79 and my partner 84. We needed to be in reasonable condition to manage the challenge.”

“A cozy, well designed and built cabin in the distant woods was my retreat last weekend and it was terrific! The cabin is just the right size for one person or two that enjoy each other. There is no electricity, internet, plumbing, or cell service but I had everything I needed, especially peace. The screened in porch was delightful in the evening as dozens of species of birds and frogs filled the woods with song. The propane wood stove was on a thermostat and provided charm as well as warmth.……
