“This cottage was cute as can be! The beds were comfortable, although not queen beds. One kid slept comfortably on the couch. We could see the lake from the front of the house and the kitchen. We enjoyed sitting in the chairs at the front porch, hear the water as you watch people walk by or drive by in their golf carts and waved. It was a nice little neighborhood. Its relaxing to be close to the water, and there's a little boat ramp a short walk away where there were people fishing and the kids……

“We had a great week on Long Lake. Chet and Lauren have done a lot of work on their property, and it shows. The cabins were very quaint, comfortable and clean, especially the beds. I like that we brought all our own linens and bedding, I feel that is more efficient for both owner and guest. The lake, the use of the resort's aluminum rowboats (we attached our own motor), grills, firepit and outdoor furniture made it a fun, relaxing week and we all agreed we would definitely like to return to……

“My family, along with our golden retrievers enjoyed our stay at the Sunken Lake cottage. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and you can see the lake from the kitchen, living room and one of the bedrooms. It is immaculately clean and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The Internet works great. We had a colleague who had to take a few meetings and she had no issues. “We really enjoyed our stay here. It was very peaceful and quiet. Very unique and pleasant surroundings, being right on the creek. We enjoyed hearing the creek at night as we slept, and drinking morning coffee over looking the trout pond. The place is very clean and easy to stay at. The owner is friendly and helpful. Feeding the fish is pretty fun! There are many beautiful places near here to visit and enjoy. We will definitely come back if we are in the area. ”

“Beautiful, quiet, peaceful. Close enough to Alpena that you can experience some of what a city has to offer, far enough away that you have peace and quiet. The kayaks got put to use on the river and everything that we could need had been thought of. Plenty of dishes to use. Plenty of chairs to sit by the fire. Plenty of firewood to burn. Check-in was stress-free. We met the host for a quick tour and they were available via text if we had any need. Cell reception in the area was spotty,……

“Loved our stay at this cozy place in the middle of the woods - check-in was easy, even at the late time of night we arrived. No internet, but that was a good thing, as it kept everyone off their phones. Kitchen was stocked with all basics needed to cook and the yard was a nice surprise with the peaceful firepit area and beautiful landscaping.”
