“It was a very nicely decorated lodge with comfortable beds. It’s extremely well maintained. The breakfast was just items in refrigerator though. ”

“The Eagles Nest at the Blue Heron Resort on Diamond Lake is not for everyone but we loved it. I say not for everybody in part because you need to take a series of stairs including nearly 30 steps to reach the cabin from the parking space provided. While we (both in our 70's) didn't have a problem, others may well prefer few stairs. The cabin is also not fancy or modern and has a few quirks including a noticeable slant towards the lake. “Perfect little spot to spend a mountain biking and hiking weekend. The dogs loved the yard to run and play. Left for walks from the front door and had little to no traffic. Big M is 20 minutes away to ride the trails. Weather was perfect to spend most of our time outside. Cabin is super cute and cozy. We will definitely be back. ”

“The lake house was great, very clean and loved the updates to the place. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us, 5 adults and 3 kids. The kids loved the paddle boat and fishing off the dock. The host was very helpful and responded quickly, would definitely stay here again.”

If visiting in the winter heed the instructions and park at top, if you do not have 4 wheel drive and snow tires you may not make it back up the hill. ”
