“This was such a lovely place to stay. The staff was super-accommodating, helping me arrange a climb of Mt Ijen and transport. Though it was out of town, it was in a lovely location and still only a 30-minute walk to the beach, where there's a great lobster restaurant where you can lounge for the day by the beach. BB also had Wonderful espresso drinks with breakfast. Lovely touch. ”

“This hotel has some issues. First of all, the room's back door (sliding doors opening to a shared swimming pool just outside) didn't close properly -- it wouldn't close completely, always leaving a small gap in between... imagine all the little bugs and geckos that could crawl right through (it goes without saying this was actually a security hazard). In the end I switched to the room next door, but its door was only marginally better, and overall the room (especially the bathroom) was……

“This was a convenient place to overnight between Bromo and Bali. The grounds are huge and decorated with beautiful sculptures, and the pool area was large and nicely done. The rooms were fine, but the bathrooms were very dirty- everything needed a good scrubbing, and our bathtub had around 10 dead insects in it when we arrived. ”

“Had a great stay here, restaurant is closed so set out for food. There was a tasty food stand outside and found a good restaurant across the street - local eats nothing fancy but good. Pool was nice and there are tables around to spend time in. The front desk gave us a number of a contact for Ijen crater which turned out great. Not far to ferry to Bali. SOme bugs in the room but it comes with the territory. We had to keep toilet seat closed at all times though because it always had ants inside……
