“I had never seen a hotel with all 10/10 reviews before, so we stayed there to see for ourselves. It's no lie, the place was wonderful. The staff really make it special - they are lovely, friendly, helpful, engaging. We stayed there for a long stretch, and it was our favorite hotel in Japan by far. We were a family of four and opted to book two rooms. We were very comfortable, enjoyed the breakfasts and free drinks in the afternoon. We were able to do laundry in our rooms, too. We weren't sure……

“The design and deco of the hotel is top notch. Room is nicely decorated and thoughtfully design. The renovation done perfectly to maintain the heritage of the building at the same time creating a comfortable living space with the input of luxurious feeling and technology. However, the staff and service is not up to par with the hardware, especially when you’re not Japanese or caucasian. During check in, the front desk will direct you to a room and while other guest were being carefully explained……

“室內非常的寬敞，用具齊全，非常適合四口家庭一同享樂。 可惜樓梯較陡，較不適合長者移動，且有時可聽見天花板裡有小動物一同歡樂的聲音。”

“非常舒適乾淨，房間裝修和窗外景色都很滿意，空間亦很大很舒適，附近亦有美麗河景、Cafe、小店餐廳。老闆很友善，回覆速度很好。 建議可增設洗衣機。 再去京都也會再預約，絕對會推薦給朋友。”

“雖然交通唔算方便,如果去酒店推住行李上山都比較辛苦,推落山就還可以接受,建議你路程唔超過十分鐘的話,就坐的士吧,酒店行五分鐘左右有超市,附近亦都有便利店,又或者行五分鐘左右可以去到購物街個頭,酒店整體嚟講都好乾淨,始終近山,有昆蟲都無可避免”

“房间里的淋浴极差，水极小，完全不热，温度开到最热也是一样。洗澡一定要去公共浴室。走廊没有暖气，房间里的厕所和浴室也没有，半夜上厕所冷死，早上起来洗漱冷死，需要在房里洗澡的人也是冷死。这样的价格这样的设施绝对没有下一次。日式旅馆住过很多，这个可以说是最差，除了服务人员热情，其他一无是处”

“I highly recommend this hotel. Prime location with just 3 minutes walk to the Hokan-ji, 8 minutes to Kodaiji and Kiyomizu. Service was superb. Staff were very friendly and they really tried their best to make you feel like home. Haven’t experienced this level of great hospitality in a long while. The hotel itself is also like a beautiful artpiece with contemporary interior while reserving the heritage and history (it’s converted from a school). 10/10 hands down”
