“My family and I stayed at the Portmore House while visiting my son who is a student at VA Tech. We loved the house and its location. The house was very clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed watching the sunset from the screened in porch! It was a short drive to campus and a shorter drive to restaurants and shops. We look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Tech!”

“The house was very comfortable and the hot tub was clean! The location on the lake is beautiful, but a bit out of the way. The fenced in area was perfect for our little dog! Be advised there are skylights in both the king size bedrooms. ”

“The views from this home are stunning. We were in town for a week visiting our daughter who attends Radford University. The house is just about 30 minutes drive from the college as they are windy mountain roads but so worth the drive! The sunsets were amazing on the lake and it was relaxing and peaceful. The house is comfortably furnished, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed with pots/ pans and dishes. It was a wonderful week!”

“Loved our stay! If you’re looking to escape the craziness of life and enjoy the calmness of nature, this is the place to do it! It rained quite a bit during our stay but that didn’t take away from our experience one bit! Listening to the rain from inside the yurt was quite peaceful. The yurt was exceptionally clean and Jessica has everything you’d possibly need available within the yurt. Our only complaint was the firmness of the mattress. A mattress topper would have been wonderful. Besides the……

“We had a great stay at this property in Draper during our family spring break trip, which also included a tour of Virginia Tech. The location was perfect—less than an hour drive to campus. The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It was a great base for both exploring the area and spending quality time together as a family. And the dogs absolutely loved the yard! Overall, a very positive experience—we’d definitely stay here again!”
