“Tropical private paradise. Beautiful rustic bungalow right on aqua waters. We came on off season and felt like we had the island to ourselves. There are kayaks to use as well. If you want more restaurants and life come in the main dry season. There is coral snorkeling nearby and an amazing indigenous guide and chef named Calypso who showed us all the local animals, sloths, monkeys, frogs, caiman and plant medicines. James the host answered any questions or needs we had. Be sure to ask him a lot……

“Enjoyable stay on an island - but we had higher expectations. You get picked up in the harbour, works perfectly fine. The lodge was half open to nature and really fantastic. Dark wood materials, comfortable bed, shower half outdoors with nice eco friendly products. Be prepared to get some exercise while climbing up to lobby/dinner area. Dinner was average and breakfast as well. Missed "taste/flavour". The tour on the farm was nice but in the end it is all planted there and a little of everything……

“It is a true paradise. For the most part the staff was amazing and happy to help. Unfortunately, the staff Rosa beach club for dinner was very slow. We loved the Villa, but unfortunately, it does require a lot of maintenance (windows handles falling off, taps falling off, dripping faucet etc). Overall, we loved everything, and will definitely conciser coming back. ”

“If you're looking to unplug for a few days, Aqui Hoy is absolutely fantastic!! Quiet, small, intimate with personalized service. Cathy was very hospitable & warm, plus she cooks all 3 meals AND is the bartender. Simply wonderful. Somewhat rustic but it was what we were looking for, if you want to enjoy the action in Boca, water taxi will have you there in 7min. But the water views, solitude and pure relaxation was great.
