“Our standard room was very comfortable, the family running the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms and breakfast terrace look out over the pretty and well-kept garden with flowers and palm trees, a sand and gravel beach (good for swimming and the hotel has free loungers and sun umbrellas available) and the island of Evia across the sea. It's just fine - and good value - as it is but a little updating and a upgrading of breakfast ingedients would be enough easily to deserve a 9 plus……

“The property is beautiful. Private yard and pool. Super well-maintained. Amazing view from living area upstairs. Think ahead for food; we arrived on a Sunday in mid-May and all the markets and most of the restaurants were closed. No dining facilities on site and don’t plan on “walking into town”, as it’s about 1.5 km away and it’s a steep uphill on the way back. Communication had challenges. On the eve of my departure for Greece, I received an email with check-in instructions all in Greek……

“Evia/Eubea è stata una piacevole scoperta, un tuffo nella Grecia di 20 anni fa. Il nord dell’isola, la zona che abbiamo “esplorato” (Evia è enorme) è verdissimo, belle spiagge in genere di ghiaia o sabbia mista a ghiaia e monti con boschi di platani e pini favolosi. “The area was really nice. The suites were amazing and I love the view to the sea from the bedroom. For those that didn't want to spend time in the pool, the beach was just a few roughly 5-6 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again ”

“We were looking for an intermediate stop between Meteora and Athens, and chose Aidipsos because it was on the water. Evia Bay is a small hotel with very nice rooms and friendly proprietors who shared local knowledge on restaurants and pointed us to the hot springs right on the beach in town, where in mythology Hercules went to recover after battles. Overall great stay, beautiful sunset and a place we would stay longer for relaxation if we had the time.”

“We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We stayed on 4th floor which was recently added and the room was fantastic. View was stunning and we had everything we needed. It's very convenient to have a spa in a hotel! Breakfast was great (homemade Greek food)! Natasa, the receptionist, was very welcoming and super friendly. We will return!”
