The girls each took a friend, so the 4 girls took over the bedrooms upstairs. There was only six of us, and this property gave us the ability to comfortably stay without feeling cramped in any way. A great alternative to staying in a hotel that wouldn’t have provided community space, patio/grotto, kitchen, laundry, garage, etc. and would have cost each of us about the same, or more, than splitting the cost of this clean and spacious location. We enjoyed the private slice of beach right outside the cottage and kayaking with the kids in the river. Deena was incredibly communicative and knowledgeable and the check-in/out process was seamless. The cottage was well-appointed and the kitchen well-stocked and had everything we needed. “The River House at Claremont was one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. I am a huge Gone With the Wind fan and this property brought you back to the South prior to the Civil War all we needed were ball gowns to make it really authentic. The house was well appointed with the necessaries (toilet paper, tissues, and toiltetries). In addition the kitchen pantry had salt, pepper, flour and other staples. The interior of the house is amazing with much of the furniture handmade by the owner……
