“Hotel Gringo Perdido was a truly great place to stay during our 3-day trip to Tikal and other historical sites. The asphalted road leading to the entrance of HGP is probably the best road in the area as it was recently poured and a second pouring is scheduled soon. The HGP staff were very welcoming and informed us of the complimentary breakfast as well as the complimentary dinner. “The location is good (on the island) and the staff were friendly. The free coffee and bread rolls was nice, in the absence of breakfast being available. The room was a bit dark, as the advertised balcony isn't really a balcony but a small enclosed room attached to the room. The terrace is nice but there is no bar service (although the minibar is well priced). The staff were friendly but not very forthcoming with information unless asked. For example, I only found out about the swimming pool……

“The room is clean and comfortable. It has restaurants and grocery around the building. The host send me the passwords of the doors in the same day of my arrival. My only comment is they can add some label or sign on the door so that I can easily identify which door to open. They have 4 front doors on the street. 1 more item that I want to mention is that google map put the hotel's location across the street. ”

“2 night stay in Flores, staff were very helpful and helped with bags, our questions and taxi to the airport. We had the very top room with a great view over the water and our own spiral staircase! The town is small so easy to walk around and get everywhere from here. ”
