The staff at the receptions are not locals and their knowledge of the hospitality world is null, this was the worst check in and check out process. Not long ago, this was one of the best boutique hotels in Puntarenas. The place is beautiful, the staff seems they don’t care their job. The restaurant is expensive and they are not willing to make small changes in the menu even if the price is 4x what you will pay on average in any other……

“We hebben een goede ervaring gehad tijdens ons verblijf. Alles was erg netjes en schoon. Ook en zwembad geldt dit voor. We hebben het geluk gehad dat er een apen familie over trok. En ara’s zaten te eten bij het restaurant. Daarnaast was de krokodillen tour die bij de receptie voor je gereserveerd kan worden erg leuk. Het restaurant is prima, en als optie zit er een soda aan het eind van de straat. Wij hebben er drie nachten overnacht.”

“The place is a rental property rather than a hotel. The host Carla was very friendly and responsive. The view was amazing. However, the property could use some serious work. There were holes on the wall, stains on the couch, splashes on the kitchen window shades, mold or stains on bathroom ceiling. The bathroom sink doesn’t work. Walls are paper thin that you can hear everything from the next door neighbor. The bedroom AC doesn’t work properly, that it doesn’t cool and was very noisy. The……

En estos tiempo donde tenemos tanta incertidumbre por la economía mundial, no es nada fácil la operación de un hotel como estos. Por el contrario es el momento correcto para aportar a las economias locales y entender que todos necesitan el trabajo para llevar la comida a sus mesas. Además para nosotros el silencio y paz del sitio es más que suficiente. Muchas gracias :D ”

“This was most interesting stay on my Costa Rica vacation, a somewhat quirky but comfortable beach hotel. My room was clean, spacious, the AC was working well, and the poolside room helped make it pretty quiet (a beach bar was across the street playing music). The bathroom had a jacuzzi style tub with a hand shower, no standup shower which I much prefer. There is no light or switch by the bed, so my cellphone served as a temporary nightlight. The parking garage below the hotel would have been……
