“Great family stay! Highly recommend ”

“The interior of the house was beautiful. Excellent and very clean. However, the exterior could use some TLC but it could possibly be because it was spring and it's location. Our only negative was we all found the beds to be uncomfortable.”

“We used this beautiful home for a history trip of DC landmarks and regional Civil War Battlefields. The location was great. The drive into DC averaged about an hour and 45 minutes in the mornings due to traffic, but all the other Civil War destinations were much less and the house is large and very well maintained. The family loved sitting in the hot tub each night after a long day of walking and had the extra pleasure of a herd of deer that greeted us each night next along side the driveway……

“This is our third year staying in this house and we love it. The company accommodates our requests and is quick to respond if we need anything. The house itself is laid out perfectly for what we need with lots of rooms for both kids and adults. ”

“The stay was very nice. The school house was clean and well stocked. The community was quiet and close to both nearby national parks which was the reason for our visit. It was a perfect place to retire after a long day of history lessons and great food from the local taverns to a very comfortable bed! We would certainly stay there again.”

“This property was a quiet and clean place to relax at the beginning of spring break. The hot tub was a big draw and it did not disappoint. A few more mirrors in the bedroom for those of us that have to blow dry our hair, and the place is perfect! ”

“This place was everything and more. We had quite a large group coming in for a weekend trip, and this place was able to fit all of us. The pictures do not do it justice because this place was beautiful, clean, and spacious. Would love to come back one day!”

“We stayed as we are in between houses and wanted to have a larger place to host and cook the holiday meal. I will say that the house could definitely use some updates and also a deep cleaning. Generally, it was comfortable and the views of the river are beautiful. The whole house was well stocked with just about anything we needed that we forgot to bring. I would have loved it more during warm weather but even during the winter, it was comfortable. ”
