“HR Solo traveller I visited the Sanctuary on the recommendation of a friend and thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay there. Great care and much thought has been given to the furnishings of the house. “Remote space to really get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We stayed at Kay Jay Wild’s for 2 nights so we could do a full day safari at Wilpattu. While Kay Jay Wild’s was close to an entrance of the national park, it was not the main entrance which meant we had to wake up earlier for our driver to drive to the other entrance which was ~40km more distance. Otherwise - service was great and every hotel staff was helpful, friendly and kind. ”

“Leopard Trails is a fabulous rustic luxury camp in the beautiful Wilpattu Park. This was one of our favorite stays in all of Sri Lanka! The Naturalist guide who took us on safari was attentive, knowledgable, and a genuinely great guy. Back at camp, the rooms were comfortable and the private dining candle lit dinners were magically romantic. I recommend the suite with the plunge pool, it was bliss after a hot and dusty drive on safari. Do not miss the opportunity to visit this special place! ”

“This is a primitive camping site. Yes the tent is large and there is an outdoor toilet and shower which is delightful but this is still just a camp site. No other facilities. There is no A/C and it can get quite hot in the tent. We had a wonderful candle lit dinner by the chef who also lit us a fire which was beautiful under the stars. Some holes in the tent need to be fixed due to mosquitos. ”

“It's definitely not a luxury camping experience. The facility is not clean and food is so so. It's not worth for the money we spent. The most serious problem is getting contact with the camp. We want to do a full day safari and we tried all means to contact the hotel - email/phone/whatsapp/hotels.com link but there's no reply. We end up arranging safari through our driver. It's quite disappointing.”

“The first nights dinner was horrible cos we ordered the wrong stuff & lunch & breafsdt sandwiches were not so good. So the next day for breakfast we ordered Sri Lankan milk rice, string hoppers & Pol Rotti., chicken & fish curry, potato & dhal curry. It was absolutely super, excellent. The fruit was so good. It was to die for. The papaya especially.”
