“We stayed 12 nights and absolutely loved it! Puako is a hidden gem on the Big Island. The house was so comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of the birds each morning, seeing all the geckos, and looking out for other wildlife (mongooses, wild pigs, etc). We were just a short walk from the ocean and tons of world class snorkeling. We also spent a lot of time at nearby Waialea Beach (also amazing). Literally no complaints, except we wished we could have stayed longer! Thank you……

“Great stay with only very minor negative points. The Pots in the kitchen could be better.Therefore the yard is awesome. Propably the nicest i have seen so far. The house is gorgeous too, but don't expect to much privacy between your party members.The Guest room gets quite warm without A/C but it's ok. Overall a fantastic stay and i will come back as soon as i can afford Hawaii again.”

“Mango Cottage is a great home base for exploring the island. 2nd time staying here. Host is super cool and helpful. If you need anything during your stay, he's there for you! The cottage has everything you need- plus the bedroom is air conditioned. It might sound odd to think AC is needed, but the end of summer can get toasty-so if you're comparing different places, be sure to consider AC! “The "cottage" really is an octagon! The decks with views of the ocean and views of the beautiful hills behind were just wonderful. We grilled one night, ate breakfast outside, and absolutely loved star gazing.
