It was on the rainforest side, which gave us a wonderful "off the beaten path" experience and It was directly across from kahena beach, which is a nude beach so be mindful of that before bringing your kids and making the nude people uncomfortable ( watched this happen). “We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage that had everything we needed (including beach chairs, umbrella and cooler!). The owner was super helpful and kind in making sure everything was perfect for us. We love staying south of Hilo where we have more access to the Paradise Cliffs and morning dawn hikes along this magnificent coastline. Groceries, stores, restaurants, markets are all easily available, too. It's also an easy drive into Hilo, as well. We had a wonderful time!”
