“Nice place to sleep while we were enjoying various activities around the island. Please read the amenities. If you are coming from the main land and are custom to A/C. Please note that A/C is an amenitie on the Hawaiian Islands. If you get past that, the weather is fairly comfortable, ceiling fan and a floor fan was provided. Leave the windows open for a breeze. Comfy bed and in a secluded area. Thanks for the memories. Everyday we had a visitor, I knew it was going to be a great day!”

“The entire property is ideal for a tropical vacation. Not necessarily a Hawaii vacation. It was about 45 min from Kilauea, an hour from a swimmable beach, 5 minutes from Fissure 8 (private property in spots), and 25 min from the ocean. The worst part of the house was Kilauea didn’t erupt! I don’t blame Matt but I think he could’ve done something to help it erupt. All pictures were taken within 45 min of the house. “So peaceful. While we wanted to be near some attractions near Hilo, we did not want to stay near a lot of people. We knew of this little community in Keaau and this property did not disappoint! While we were initially nervous about the lack of AC (for medical reasons I typically need it), we ended up having excellent sleep at this home and there were many ceiling fans that helped. The screened in porch was a huge favorite along with the charming garden and exotic fruit trees in the backyard. It……

Despite the previous guests leaving a mess and causing a few minor issues, the owner went above and beyond to have everything ready and comfortable for us right away.
