“This little cottage was perfect! It was super clean, had everything we needed, comfy beds, nice linens, fresh flowers and character. The owners put a lot of care into the decor and comforts inside the cottage. Everything worked fine and was as expected, if not better. Loved the two bathrooms off the bedrooms for our teens.The grounds need a ton of work that I'm sure is overwhelming for the owners. There is so much history hidden in that jungle! From mossy stone pathways to no where to overgrown……

“since I took the time to read the comments I was expecting things not to be perfect with this stay, had I not researched the property I may have been disappointed due to high hopes, with that said knowing everything with the house was not going to be perfect, I will say we had a great time. location and views are amazing the constant crashing of the waves got to be a little much by the end of the stay, but overall we had a great time.”

We loved the location as for us we wanted to explore Volcano National Park and much of the east side of the island. We did go to Kona for a day which was easily accessible as well. “This space has a lovely kitchen, living room, large bedroom, storage closet, sizable bathroom and large shower. There is a back porch sitting area too.... Two TV's, large fridge, micro, dishwasher......even free laundry within the garage. It met my needs and was wonderful to return to each day. I stayed 8 nights and was sad to see my time there slip away......”

“This is our second time hear, and you can beat the Views and the ocean sound.”

“We arrived just before sunset.Ron's directions were spot on. Keep your eyes open for the red gravel driveway. The place was spotless and very spacious. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances. Farm sink, mini frig and 2 burner hot plate. The bathroom was beautifully done with a chiseled stone sink with rain shower and beautiful tile and river rock. Definitely rock. base. Plenty of water”

“We stayed with our kids (6,8) for 4 nights. We deliberately chose this location as we visited this region in 2009 when the Kilauea lava was flowing. To stay on top of the old lava flow was a special feature to show the kids. The location is very remote, the next shops a 15min drive away. A few more houses have been set up around the property, meaning we never had an encounter with the ‘grumpy neighbour’. “The house is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Throughout the day, you get the relaxing sounds of nature with the waves crashing, numerous birds, frogs, and, my personal favorite, some rooster crows.
