“I'll start with my top dislike, which is the room switch they decided without telling me or giving me the option to cancel my reservation. My husband has a knee injury so climbing stairs to the second floor was painful, but he accepted it. This B&B only has a small number of rooms to begin with and I liked only one room on the ground level, so i reserved it over a month ago. I was greeting pleasantly, the place was clean, no bad smells, and the breakfast was good. The themed room I was given……

“Very cool historic building boutique hotel, nicely renovated with comfortable rooms and a gorgeous throw-back lobby with a bar, coffee bar and comfortable seating. Hosts one of Kansas City’s excellent fine dining restaurants, The Town Company. Parking is not optimal with the best option being valet service, and downtown KC street and plaza construction poses navigation challenges. Still a great downtown hotel option and an easy walk to convention facilities or conferences at e.g., the Marriott. ”

“The staff from the valet to the front desk throughout the hotel. Very friendly and accommodating. Greeted by each and every one of them on entrance and exit. The hotel and the rooms were beautiful, and comfortable. Right on the CCP walking distance to EVERYTHING! even took a walk into Westport for breakfast one day. You can’t go wrong. Also, it was the ice machine for our daughter. Each floor has a soft pellet ice machine. If I could give more than five stars I sure would! ”
