“The stay was thoroughly enjoyable. From the gorgeous views to the beautiful and well appointed unit complete with everything you needed to make you feel at home. Patricia was a wonderful and welcoming host and went out of her to accommodate us. We highly recommend the Carmel Cottage. ”

“The carpet was filthy. We took pictures in case we needed proof it was like that when we arrived. Tiny mirror in the bathroom over the sink and no mirror in the bedroom to use as an alternative. The shower curtain didn’t fit and there was mold in the bathroom. The sheets wouldn’t stay on the mattress which we discovered had a plastic cover on it. The bed is hard and couch is uncomfortable. The keyless entry lock was extremely difficult to operate. No guidance on locating beach access. The beach……

“Renting with Vacasa was easy overall. They communicated throughout our stay, however parking pass was emailed well after we were on the road. The condo seems well loved by the owners. The decorations are dated but the condo was “clean”. I say that because the condo had such a strong musty/cigarette odor we cut our trip short. If you have any smell sensitivity or asthma, not the condo for you. Patio on condo has great lagoon view. Easy bike rides to beach, hotel, and parks. ”

“We only had a few days to visit, but this villa offered a great location in an amazing, serene setting on the east side of Kiawah Island. The Villa was stocked with everything we needed for an amazing retreat. And, the owners were on top of anything we needed. We hope to go back and visit sometime again!”

“The cottage is older but very clean. Has everything you need. Perfect location across from community pool and great location to bike paths to the beach and throughout the island. Close bike ride to gas station. Loved the outside furniture to eat meals. Would stay here again! ”

“This home was a perfect getaway for our 3 generation family to celebrate my husbands 65th birthday. The home is stunning, highlighted by its living room with huge floor to ceiling windows that showcase the gorgeous beach and ocean views...breathtaking! The large king bedrooms, the kids bunk room and the baby room were all inviting and cozy esp after a full day of activities, of which Kiawah has more than we could possibly get to. A wonderful home and a wonderful spot!!! ”

“This rental experience was terrific. Booking, check-in/check-out were easy, and communications with the rental company were clear and timely. The condo was immaculate, and things we have come to think of as “extras” were provided, such as hand soap and garbage bags. The condo includes everything a guest would need, but not a lot of clutter that you don’t. We would stay here again on a future trip to Kiawah! ”
