“Foxwood House is a historic building with the main house and several out buildings. I had originally booked Coach House. we arrived in the dark (cause it sets early here) and basically just unpacked, exhausted from long flight. TV was not working so the manager moved us to Onze Emmie suite. WOW loved it. had a lovely patio we enjoyed. large room, large bathroom.the surrounding area is very wild with flowers and vines and walking paths. I'm sure people could find fault with it but I loved the 2……

“The unit was well furnished and modern, the built-in stuff were great, but the pots, pans and fan wasn't so great. It was fully usable but it had broken handles etc. The management was also very strict, we asked for an additional set of keys and they were initially reluctant to provide one and after that quoted us first R1000, then R500 deposit. It just felt like it was overly strict, rigid and lacking a bit of that human touch which Jo'burg is famous for. Overall still a great place to stay……

“The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is available The access is safe and secure and it was easy to find. The communication with the host was impeccable and fast from booking all the way till we checked out. He gave us lots of tips and information on the area. This property is conveniently located to shopping and dining areas. Parking is easy to access. If you are looking for a convenient location to shopping and dining, this place is really……

“This place is even better than the reviews give it credit for. It's modern, spacious, and the customer service is attentive. It has a pool, and although it does not have a gym, there's a really wonderful park with running trails next door. On top of that, it's quite literally steps away from Melrose Arch, close enough to food and attractions, but far enough to be quiet at night. I've stayed in many different places in the city, and this may be my new go-to place to stay in Joburg!”

“The room, common areas, and staff were all absolutely fantastic. We had a late flight out on our checkout day and they allowed us to pay a 1/2 day rate to check out at 6pm. We didn't sample the restaurants, but the bar makes a terrific cocktail”
