“Great location. Didn't expect breakfast included so that was a nice bonus. Didn't get the issue others reported with noise. Didn't have an issue - you're opposite a pub so you hear noise but nothing excessive. Very pleased with the stay. ”

“I booked the double for one person, it was very small but perfect for me. THe gentleman on entering at reception was lovely and helpful and the blonde girl on leaving was also lovely. Basic Irish Tv Channels, No wardrobe to hang clothes or a full length mirror and no extra lock on the door these were my only issues. The bed was spotless and I had a great sleep. Bathroom lovely with a great shower. Coffee machine and kettle with Lyons tea - yahoo!! Fridge not very cold but holds small fresh milk……

“Room was tiny. No reception. We never saw anyone that worked for the hotel. This was especially a problem when some people staying at the hotel got locked out at 3am and spent half an hour banging on the door trying to get someone to let them in. ”

“The location can't be beat. It is literally on Eyre Square in the heart of Galway, right next to 10 Euro a day carpark and 2 minute walk from the Train station. The breakfast was huge and tasty. I will definitely return. The part that stood out was the customer service! From reception to the dining room to the cleaning staff everyone was so nice and went above and beyond the usual. They didn't just help. They took the time to chat and offer advice. It was so welcoming. WELL DONE TO ALL!”

“Very happy with our stay in Abbeygate Townhouse. The rooms were spotless and fresh. In an excellent location we were only a 5-7 min walk from eyre square. Although this hotel is self check in it is very easy to carry out and when there was a problem with the key card machine there was a lovely man there within 10 minutes who helped us and was very friendly and professional. The beds were like a cloud of air to sleep in. All together a wonderful stay and I would 100% recommend to others. We will……
