“Perfect location, large room. ”

“I stayed here for 2 nights in May 2025. While going over my room upon check-in I discovered that the coffee mugs were used. Housekeeping rectified the situation and brought me a box of chocolates as recompense. Great touch! The breakfast has a good variety. The coffee machine brews tepid blah coffee, just have tea. Front desk can be replaced with computer screens. They barely made eye contact with me. Housekeeping seem to be better trained in hospitality. ”

“This is a professionally run hostel with a nice breakfast room and simple breakfast, a few minutes walk from the city center of Galway. The comfort level was fine for a hostel, and we had no problems. The cost was pretty high, though, as it is similar to what a Bed and Breakfast costs.”

“Great location right in town”

“Lovely hotel. Easy free parking if staying at hotel. Dunnes, Next Tesco, McDonald's all a few min walk away. Lost of Bars and restaurants close by. We had breakfast in the hotel and it was really tasty. Staff are very friendly, especially the guy on the reception in the evenings, he recommended a few pubs for us to try with music. We were really lucky as the weather was beautiful but The rooms got a bit stuffy and I didn't realise I could turn down the heating at the radiator in the room till……

“Service was absolutely outstanding ”

“Enjoyed the location very much, easy 15 minute walk into Westport. Our room was clean and stocked with coffee and tea. Patrice provided us some excellent dining suggestions. Our only issue is the plumbing in the bathroom. The toilet was tricky, the hot and cold taps on the sink were reversed and the shower was slow draining. Having said that we would stay again with the understanding that we did not book a 4 star B&B, nor did we pay the price for one. Overall good value for the money.”

“Delightful staff that took the very best care of us. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Bar staff fun.We only ate breakfast at the lodge which was ok. Try the Ashford gunpowder gin but my favourite was the Dingle gin! ”
