“The house itself is lovely, the room was very comfortable, the beds were heavenly, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were accommodating when we had some delays checking in and out. The shower was the only downside--it was very hard to get the water to turn on and the water pressure was weak.”

“This is a beautiful property and well worth a visit. Despite my train arriving after check-in, it was very easy to access my room. The room was a good size and very clean. The hostess is friendly and extremely accommodating. If you use public transportation, be aware that the property is near Pulpit Hill, so there is some steep walking. However, buses do serve this area, and you can get a taxi. I came to Scotland to hike, so the uphill walk was a welcome part of the trip. The house was less……

“Excellent self-check-in hotel on the A83 looking directly into a stunning view of Loch Fyne at Inverary. Lovely garden with seating area for relaxing, eating, drinking or just taking in the view. Well appointed room and with fridge, kettle, tea, coffee. En-suite with fluffy towels, cotton buds, soap and shower gel. Close to lovely cafés and bars of Inverary and walkable to the beautiful castle. Would recommend!”

“In a great location in the centre of Oban, with most of the places you would want to visit within walking distance. There is a convenient car park across the street if you need it. The building is old and full of character, which inevitably impacts on the accommodation - with some ingenious planning of the en-suite bathrooms, but this is more than made up for by the Scottish welcome from the knowledgeable staff.
