“We had such a wonderful time at this A-frame! The location is perfect - tucked away about 10 minutes from town but still easily accessible, and just a short 5-minute walk to the pond. The house itself was spotless, which was especially impressive since it's pet-friendly. Honestly, you'd never know pets had stayed there - no lingering odors whatsoever. “Very casual about check in they live next to the main Office and have kids so may be next door. Just key the radio on counter. We got there early and were given a good fishing place to try out before we came back. The last day we got directions to a local lake that is a short walk down a logging road. Like having a whole valley with a lake in the middle to yourself. We didn’t see a soul the whole time and it’s a good size lake. The description about out being off grid is dead on, 12 bolt lights……

“Our family really enjoyed our stay at Riverwood Cabin. It is a beautifully appointed cabin with lots of room in a private tree and river setting. They even have a diverse vinyl record collection, which we enjoyed listening to! It is close to North Conway, NH, and accessible to all things Southern Maine. Darlene is a wonderful host! “We had such an amazing time! Our grandchildren had the best time sledding. My husband and son shoveled out the 3 feet of snow from the house to the fire pit, then shoveled out the fire pit area and made an igloo that surrounded it! We had the best time making s’mores and roasting hotdogs over the open fire.The highlight for me was an evening fire in the most amazing fireplace I’ve ever seen.Loved it!”

"The front desk staff was extremely friendly and even recommended nearby souvenir shops and an amazing breakfast spot. I would give them a perfect score for their service. The hotel is converted from an old elementary school, which gives it a unique character. However, the bathroom is a bit small, with a sink that seems sized for elementary school students, making it easy to splash water everywhere. The bed appears to have dust mites, as my allergies acted up shortly after lying down, though it wasn't too severe. The TV offers many channel options, so you won't get bored at night！"
