“Machiya haut de gamme et bien entretenu avec une chambre à l’étage, une autre pièce avec des draps et matelas. Au rez de chaussée, vous avez la cuisine ainsi que le salon sans oublier la salle de bain. La salle de bain comporte une douche comme le veut la tradition et la fameuse baignoire après s’être douché. Il y a juste un souci au niveau de la communication. Arrivé devant l’habitation, il a fallu passer sur notre réseau interne de notre pays pour appeler le support. Ils ne répondaient pas……

“獨房獨院！屋子房間數多，有家的氛圍，還可以洗衣服等。還有和風味很濃的浴室。屬於高級飯店民宿，飯店人員平時不在現場，需要email或則電話聯絡，但是招待親切。不建議拖大行李前往，因為地點在三年/二年版道中，車子一般無法進入人行道。需要靠旅客自行上坡拖行前往。雖然距離離大馬路不遠，但是對於老人家或不便於行的旅客壓力較大。其他點，這個飯店都是無敵優良！”

“The property looks exactly like the photos on the website, which is a nice little surprise. Very nice little traditional Japanese house. Location is great and you can walk the Gion neighbourhood whenever you like. You can walk to Yasaka Jinja and Shijo easily as well. The bus stop is only 100m away and Ninenzaka & Sannenzaka are only a few stops away. There is also a direct bus to Kinkakuji if you want to visit it. A couple of issues with the property. First, the check-in location is about 5km……

“The location is quite good. Since it is located near the hot spot, it is very convenience for buying and eating. The hotel is alos quite near to the bus and train station. The environment is quiet and the experience of living there is great. The staff is helpful when I am in trouble and this is a hotel that I will strongly recommended if staying in Kyoto.”

“If you are staying in the Gion area of Kyoto this hotel is a perfect choice. It was one of the highlights of our 2 weeks in Japan. Yasakahan is perfectly situated in the heart of Gion. Everything is walkable. The facilities are excellent - the foot bath and shower/spa is great. Absolutely loved the decor. You really felt like this was your little piece of Kyoto for a few days. ”

“The biggest con with this stay was that there was air conditionning only in one of the two bedrooms (with the one unequipped being on the sunny side of the house, so it warmed up very quickly). This forced our group to sleep with the bedroom doors open since the temperature in the 2nd bedroom quickly became insufferable. Otherwise, the apartment has a nice japanese feel. (We also had an issue with the adress that was given and ended up far from the airbnb using google maps), so we would……

“My family and I loved this property. It is in an excellent location and the property itself is beautiful.”

“Enjoyed this apartment hotel. Neighborhood was quiet but there were shops and restaurants around the very close subway station. Tram was very close as well giving you options and 7-11 was less than a block away. I would caution that if you are 6' or taller you do need to mind your head in/out of bedroom. Also, not much translated to English but wasn’t an issue.”
